To see Arizona’s rich history, the Grand Canyon with Sedona overnight stay gives you a chance to explore ancient Native American civilizations, marvel at the spectacular landscape of Sedona and the Grand Canyon, and explore local and Navajo artisans of Sedona and the Navajo Nation. Today’s tour features one of two ancient Native American ruins from the Sinagua Tribe that existed along this busy trade route between 11250 - 1425AD. During our guided tour, we will explore the ruins at Tuzigoot National Monument or Montezuma Castle National Monument, both of which are excellently preserved sites and give guests a fantastic glimpse into the history of its first inhabitants.
Following our time at the Native American National Monument, the tour will begin to explore the mystique surrounding Sedona with options ranging from cultural and spiritual to adventurous and active. Made famous by its marvelous red rock cliffs, Sedona plays host to world class artisans, outdoor enthusiasts and the “occasional” tourist. The tour of Sedona will include visits to the famous red rock features of Bell Rock, Airport Mesa, and Chapel of the Holy Cross, but you will also be provided views of Cathedral Rock, Snoopy Rock, and Submarine Rock to name a few. In uptown Sedona, you can explore on foot the many art galleries and shops, get a psychic reading, or enjoy the serenity that Sedona provides with a glass of wine on the balcony. An alternate choice available to you as an add-on is an off-road jeep tour exploring the backcountry of Sedona or a helicopter tour for a bird’s eye perspective of the stunning red rock spires and pinnacles. Your check in at your Sedona Lodging will be at approximately 3:30pm where you will have the remainder of the day to relax on your own and enjoy the local surroundings. Lodging upgrades are available for an additional cost.
